When grading in LabFlow by student, the grading interface displays item numbers (Item #/__ total items), but those numbers do not appear in the student submission view. As a result, it can be difficult to determine which student response corresponds to the grading item being assessed.
This is especially problematic when assignments require students to reference information from previous questions. For example, a student may upload an image or data in one question and then analyze or reflect on those results in a later question. To provide accurate feedback, graders often need to leave Quick Grade, open the full report, and repeatedly cross-reference responses to ensure they are commenting on the correct question. Because the grading view does not always display the full prompt and the student view lacks question numbering, the process requires significant double-checking and increases the likelihood of feedback being attached to the wrong response.
Proposed Solution: Display question numbers (Q1, Q2, Q3, etc.) in the student submission view and align them with the item numbers shown in the grading interface. Each question should have a visible question number in the student report. The same number would appear in the grading interface, allowing graders to immediately identify the corresponding student response without navigating between views.
